Old & New

2005 has ended
and well, its a good time to reflect.
a year well spent
and wads a year when you don't grow wiser..

spent 1st jan at my aunts place
and she took out some really old photos
photos of when i was really young

we flipped pages where what people wore on the streets
was just like those you saw on 'Growing Up'
but most of all,
what struck me the most
was that we used to hold lotsa family gatherings.

Christmas parties where we exchanged gifts,
a trip to Malaysia
Birthdays, chalets,
my aunts place at kallang on National day
every now and than,
and at every gathering there was always agar agar (-.-")

than i realised the difference.
on the other hand on new years eve.
It seems that our generation only thought of..
'happening' stuff to do
which party to go,
staying at home was a "Noooooooo..."
how many of us thought of spending it with our family?

Increasingly our family values i guess is kinda
breaking down
with less piority and togetherness..
it leaves some of us feeling empty
especially on these festive seasons
like NYE or Xmas Eve
where we "have" to go out.

My sick friend grumbled that he had to stay at home
My other friend spent his night alone
drinking...
And i was in Andrew's car alone when the clock struck 12
on xmas eve..
(but later go clubbing la =p)
(and andrew was in camp doing duty =( )

for me,
NYE was spent at another party
haha, and it was damn fun
met chad (and he is crazy la)
and got damn drunk..

owell..
up till now cant tink of a resolution for 06
but if there is one resolution to start with
i think it would be
to place more importance on family
that would be a good one
and if you haven't got your resolution up yet
consider mine =)
